I’m a patient of Dr. Garner. I had a cyst removed back in December 2025. Nance Hudson assisted me with my admissions and check-in via the phone. I’m neurodivergent. Talking on the phone is very difficult for me and usually requires a great deal of masking, pre-scripting, and anxiety. I was also having a minor surgery, so that plays into the anxiety. With that being said, Nance was extremely kind, compassionate, and personable! I felt like I could talk to her for hours and I do NOT feel that way about anyone. She put me at ease through her explanations and questions. The information she provided was relevant and helpful. I didn’t feel rushed or judged or like a burden. It felt like someone genuinely cared about my health and well-being. It’s the first time in a long time that I’ve felt a healthcare professional genuinely cared about me as a person. I think you guys have one of the hardest jobs in the world and with that comes a terrible amount of stress, unappreciation, and burnout. For those reasons, I feel like it's really important to share with others why we appreciate medical personnel. So, thank you to everyone at Banner Health for your life-saving work and helping patients like me (with the smaller surgeries 😊). Nance made a huge impact on me and I genuinely appreciate her professionalism, positivity, and personal interest.
