"Sarah is an incredibly busy person, yet she always gets back to me in a timely fashion, even on Sundays! She is always pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient listening to me and my wife’s concerns. My wife and I can’t sing Sarah’s praises enough. She is an extraordinary member of my cardiac care team. We will always remember her kindness and treating us like people."

"I had a serious accident that changed my life and gave me a TBI and chronic migraines. Dr. Tobin was the only one who has advocated for me since the beginning. He fought my appeals for 2 years with insurance to get on a preventative medicine. I went from debilitating migraines that kept me in bed for days to virtually no migraines. It has changed my life back in the positive direction. He will truly never fully understand how much that meant to me. I am forever thankful for the attention and care he has taken to my medical progression."

"I went to the ER due to having some breathing issues. Christy Lewis, RN was there and was amazing. She held my hand and made me feel very comfortable and helped calm me. Every test was coming back negative and I was really getting worried. She talked to the doctor about ordering a CT and that diagnosed the problem. She is absolutely amazing! I hope every patient that comes through those doors gets her!"
-
"I’m neurodivergent, and talking on the phone is very difficult for me. Nance was extremely kind, compassionate and personable! I didn’t feel rushed or judged or like a burden. It’s the first time in a long time that I’ve felt a healthcare professional genuinely cared about me as a person. Thank you to everyone at Banner Health for your life-saving work and helping patients like me. Nance made a huge impact on me and I genuinely appreciate her."

"I am a cancer survivor. I had stage 2 colon cancer; I was in the hospital for a month. In that time frame Dr. Mak was fantastic on checking on me and would call my wife to put her at ease. We live an hour and a half away, this helped her a lot. Today I am back to normal and enjoying things again, like the Phoenix Zoo. You all did a great job.

"I was involved in a serious bicycle accident and transported to the ER trauma room. Immediately I was surrounded by the trauma team who worked quickly and efficiently. It is apparent that the trauma team is a highly skilled team that works well together. The community is blessed to have a Level 1 trauma facility and a competent and dedicated staff. I am confident that they will save lives in our community."

"Molly was the one that my mom always wanted to call when she was in pain, when she was scared, because she trusted her. My mom believed in her in every way. My mom always said she never felt scared cause she knew that she had her. She gave my mom the peace of knowing that Banner did all that they could. I hope Molly knows the difference that she made to my mother as she started her end of life journey."

"Roger has a heart of gold! He loves what he does and cares for patients like they are his friends and family. Roger has a special place in our hearts and we will always remember his kindness, efforts, and treating us like people, not a number. Having nurses like that for an extended amount of time definitely forms a bond, making them feel like family."

"Rachel gained my trust easily by being informative, personable, kind, and gentle. She treated me like a person and that I was the only person she was taking care of that day. I was so nervous about my baby being born early, but I knew I was in the best hands. What a gem Rachel truly is; I cannot praise her enough!"

“Despite the fact that he takes care of so many patients, my father and our family were, and are, genuinely important to Dr. Mahmoud. As he is to us. He let me know that on his last visit with my parents, when they decided to move to hospice care, there were tears all around. He is that kind of doctor, and that kind of person.”

“Amanda was the NP for the ICU when I was in the hospital for 2 weeks mid-April. She showed such empathy for me and really helped pull me up at a time when I was the lowest I’ve ever felt. She took such a personal interest in my health and well-being that it still makes me cry when I think of what she did for me.”
